Ford Bronco Sport: mild-to-wild style choices
With today's popular culture influenced by the 1970s, the 2024 Ford Bronco Sport Free Wheeling trim is a stylish callback to the spirit of the era. Fortunately it's also a modern compact with decent power, standard all-wheel drive and the practical touches expected of an SUV. Ford smartly also offers several other trims that are tastefully muted, plus one that's a true off-roader.

A good first EV effort from Lexus
Переглядів 479День тому
There is much to praise: its new styling, interior appointments, ride and handling live up to the Lexus reputation. But it's short on range compared to rival BEVs, is relatively slow to charge on Level 2 and some of its competitors offer more features at this price level.
Kia EV9: three rows of excellent EV
Переглядів 42314 днів тому
Is this the big, family oriented EV the North American market wants? Kia has done an outstanding job in creating a three-row SUV that is fully electric. We like its chunky new design language and just about everything else about this big electrons-only hauler.
Mazda MX-5 RF, the song of summer
Переглядів 1,1 тис.21 день тому
The 2024 MX-5 is identical to the 2021 model reviewed here, but why mess with one of the all-time great sports cars? Encore review updated with 2024 Canadian and US prices for the RF and Soft Top MX-5, and comments from a viewer who actually bought one!
'24 Volvo XC40 Twin: double (motor) happiness
Переглядів 1,5 тис.Місяць тому
The all-electric Volvo XC40 Recharge adds a rear-wheel drive version with a single motor. Our review vehicle is the Recharge Twin with an exciting 402 horsepower and muscular 494 lb-ft of torque - fun! It's also luxurious, yet practical and of course has timeless Volvo styling. We love almost everything about it, despite the lofty price.
'24 BMW X5 xDrive40i - close to perfection
Переглядів 5 тис.Місяць тому
The BMW X5 is refreshed for 2024 with sharper looks outside and in, the latest large-screen infotainment screens and more power from an inline six, plug-in hybrid or V8. We love our review trim, the X5 xDrive40i. Its 375 horsepower turbocharged inline six is as smooth as they come. The "basic" spec is quite luxurious although extra-cost packages abound. And it's a joy to drive! Encore review.
Acura TLX Type S sizzles
Переглядів 1,5 тис.Місяць тому
The 2024 Acura TLX gets a slight styling refresh but fortunately remains a powerful, sharp-handling all-wheel drive sport sedan that can compete with the European brands that dominate the sector. We drive the 355-horsepower Type S and love its looks, power, handling and sophistication.
Mazda CX 90: new PHEV option
Переглядів 696Місяць тому
Mazda has redone its biggest vehicle for the 2024 model year, replacing the CX-9 with the CX-90. It's available with a 3.3-litre straight-six engine with 48-volt mild hybrid or as a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. We drive the PHEV and find there's a lot to like in this three-row SUV. Encore review.
Genesis Electrified GV70: all-inclusive
Переглядів 222Місяць тому
The Genesis Electrified GV70 doesn't nickel-and-dime the buyer a thousand dollars at a time. It's expensive yet represents good value relative to other fullly electric luxury vehicles. The Canadian version comes in one trim that's packed with comfort, convenience and safety features. The US has two specifications. We also love its classy interior, library-like quiet, gobs of EV torque and good ...
'24 Mustang GT: wild horse can also be tame
Переглядів 2172 місяці тому
The Mustang has a styling refresh for 2024 and some engineering changes but the 5.0 Coyote V8 engine continues to offer track-day levels of power. But it also has crisp handling and can be set to give a surprisingly smooth ride. We review the GT Premium Convertible with a full load of (pricey) options including magnetic dampers.
Hyundai Kona EV: bigger and much better
Переглядів 5 тис.2 місяці тому
Hyundai has completely redone its subcompact SUV for 2024, erasing the main shortcomings of the previous generation. Cargo space is one-third larger and the ride is surprisingly gentle for a vehicle this size. It's still available with an internal combustion engine or fully electric. We review the Kona EV and come away impressed.
Mazda 3 Sport GT: successor needed
Переглядів 6302 місяці тому
The Mazda 3 is essentially unchanged since the 2019 model year, but here in 2024 has been passed by some of its more recent rivals. We like its build quality and especially the optional 2.5-litre turbo engine that can run on regular gas. Encore review updated with 2024 prices; the vehicle is unchanged for this year.
RAV4 Prime, a fine PHEV
Переглядів 1,2 тис.2 місяці тому
The RAV4 Prime has very good EV range and is the most powerful version of Toyota's best seller. We review the top-spec XSE with Technology Package and find much to like about it, except the price premium to a similarly equipped RAV4 Hybrid.
Nissan Z: lovely revamp, but...
Переглядів 5093 місяці тому
The restyled Nissan Z, with 400 horsepower, is gorgeous and powerful. But its road noise, bland interior and several negative factors make it seem less than up to date. Encore review of the 2023 but showing 2024 prices which are substantially higher.

I bought a 2023 and absolutely love it. Had it for a year now and have had no issues. Thanks for your review. I think it was spot on.
You’re living the dream. My dream, unfortunately! 😉
Interior looks soooo bland, empty and cheap.
The audio from this video takes me back to 2010
Not a bad offering if taken on its own merits. I prefer the styling over the RX and UX. Range is disappointing and could be a dealbreaker for some.
Got a 10 month old baby. Do you think it's a good idea to buy this car? Suitable for a rear facing car seat?
It’s a tight fit. Here’s a review of a 330e, with cargo and child seat info starting at one minute and fifty seconds. 2021 BMW 330e xDrive PHEV. The plugin-in hybrid version of BMW's sport luxury 3 Series. ua-cam.com/video/sek8wt-EUB0/v-deo.html
2 days ago i bought a Audi A4 Allroad Quattro 2L Tdi in Germany. It's a 2018 edition, loved it so i bought it on the spot. Looking forward to driving this amazing car!
I always wondered 52 Mi per gallon us is about 70 Mi per gallon in the UK is the UK smile shorter is there a gallon larger what is it
Imperial gallon is larger. Check out the latest generation of the Prius, it’s a big change and very impressive. Looks, power, handling: Prius?! ua-cam.com/video/iQTa-2wdeIg/v-deo.html
Enjoyed the review!
Ordered a new 2025 heavily optioned X4 40i yesterday with Merrino vented leather seats two days ago.
Good review. I had the NC for ten years, loved it then got the 2024 soft top GT RS. wow a whole new level can’t complain about anything. Nor do I feel the need to as Mazda has kept it all a real roadster. Simply no competition in its price range.
This is as his son Roger 9 years later it is awesome keep it up dad
My daughter just bought one and I was gobsmacked how nice it is dynamique lux
It’s so much more fun when you turn off all the nannies.
The problem with this car is that there’s no ac vents for the 3 rd row, so in summer (which is the majority of the year) you will be sweating there and wanting out!!! Very big issue that a 100 k plus car should not have. Definitely a deal breaker for me. If you don’t use the third row then just get a GLE, so the GLS is only good for extra cargo room.
I gotta disagree. Having the car power on by just getting in is a bad idea.
3:35 3:36 No it’s not in my opinion it’s like a German Dodge Charger Scat Pack it’s not angry like the M5
Great review!
What is Mitsubishi doing to fix the cold weather issue shutting down the the car? This is unacceptable for Canadian winters.
This dude lives in 1990s or early 2000s. Any one can afford here in leases. You have arrive if you get a Yukon Denali or Corvette.
Leasing is simply a method of financing a vehicle. If you have to be worried about monthly payments, you probably have no business buying one of these, or a Yukon Denali, or a 'Vet. The notion that leases are somehow a great financial deal (there may be other good reasons to lease) is propagated by people who don't understand them.
I’m on my second X5, a 2024 X Drive 40i. I owned Corvettes, Porsches and Datsun(Nisan) Z’s. This car does everything, accelerate, handle and gets good fuel economy for a large SUV, 27 highway and 25 overall. Not only that, it holds my golf clubs and everything else. I wouldn’t consider a Denali or any other GM product. I’ve owned a few Corvettes and Oldsmobiles, they don’t compare! I don’t care if it say “I’ve arrived “ . It drives well and suits my needs!
To lease this vehicle you would spend $44,000 and get to drive to for 3 years $4705 down $1092 a month including tax. You can drive just 30k miles. That is an insanely expensive price to borrow a car. I love the X5 and X7 but a lease that’s costs more than what I paid cash for my BMW X3 out the door is insane.
Picking up one of these next week in Vancouver
Congratulations! Thanks for watching.
Had my sel for a week. Much better than my bolt
Put on some weight
Two things I wanted Toyota to change with the Corolla hatchback. At least 190hp and the screen to be tilted slightly towards the driver, like we see in the Mi Or maybe a hybrid in the states with 220hp ?? Soon-ish ? I mean they have the motor for it
I keep hearing bad things about the legroom. I really like the look and drivetrain and SH-AWD, but I’m 6’2” and don’t want to deal with problems whenever people are in the backseat.
Every car in the segment will have the same problem for you then
@@JayJay-he9bk quiet you
It's actually superior all wheel drive not super.
Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™* (SH-AWD®) is a registered trademark of Acura.
The 2024 Acura TLX type S is supposed to have the heads up display. That was one of the major differences between 23-24
Not the Canadian version. They get the heated steering wheel standard, and we in the US get the HUD.
People whining about the touchscreen are so funny. It is not that bad lmao. It be the people with a 2015 corolla complaining about this cars touchpad.
The trackpad is great. You just have to get used to it. I hate having to reach out hunt and peck at a screen.
Give the U.S. model this wheel package in this color + the touch screen from the updated MDX and TAKE my money. I want this car so bad, but I want these wheels & a touch screen.
They absolutely have to get rid of that touchpad in the tlx.
The touchscreen is fine for me, but I agree on these wheels. I might pick up a reconditioned set later on, or go aftermarket with weight reduction.
@@brucebrowne5022 the touchpad is doable. You will get use to it but it’s still annoying
Which trim has the most comfortable ride?
The non S models
@eseir64 ... That was my guess. Would even be greater if the tech trim came with 18-inch wheels. That would make the ride even more comfortable
@@Gemini530 Agree. Everything is going to larger sized wheels of 20+. Great looks for sure, but the ride always suffers
Crunch! What exactly was crunching?
Nice car, if only Acura would redo their infotainment 🤷♂️
Love the touch pad, very easy to use and never have to worry about nasty fingerprints on your screen all the time. Keeps it clean. But I’m very used to using pc and laptop track pads so I actually enjoy it. Guess it’s not for everyone
They changed it in the MDX because it wasn’t popular so I would imagine they do the same to the tlx. People get use to it but in no way it’s better then the touchscreen
@@aidansedore5182 Agreed, although the native interface is much easier than Android Auto.
And thanks for the video ❤
That thing is 57,000?! That is waaaay too much money! Acura division is killing itself. They should just make suvs and be done with it.
I don't think you realize how much car prices across the board have increased. A top trim 2024 Honda Accord comes in at just over $43K. The TLX starts at $45K and tops out at $57K....to better put things in perspective, the Accord starts at $28K.
@@tektraxm Buy a two year old one with low miles at a 30% discount......... That is how the winners roll
@@tektraxm oh I’m very well aware. I bought a 2019 Accord ex-l 2.0T with navigation in 2020 and that was almost $37000. All car prices are crazy. Someone who has $57,000 to burn sure isn’t looking at buying a Honda/Acura product. IJS.
@@williamkanderson3 Did (but I would never use that expression), and did. Zero regrets. Previous car was an Audi.
2018 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid, 11,030 miles
Beautiful restoration! Such toil! Thank you for this beautiful vidio!😅
Manual gearboxes are disappearing sadly. I've had a chance to drive this one several times and it's wonderful.
I think the reason the rear seat postion in regaurds to the rear wheels is so tight is to keep the handling perfomance of the vehicle at top notch level. If you slide them further back youd lose the fun handling. Ill gladely tske the awesome handling over the extra couple inches.
Lexus CT small and you would be stuffed 😂 prius is not luxury its a perfect family car takes you from A to B and saves you money over the years
Prius is amazing they last forever. It will drive to the moon and back! 250k miles and only changed a water pump 200 dollars lol 😂
Common how can u call the previous model as boring? The 2016 to 2017 accord is one of the best accords ever built
I want a Corolla 😊
Love your reviews Richard. Just wondering why genesis doesn’t offer hybrid iterations of their vehicles. With some of us, it’s difficult to home charge with our living situations and rural travel charging can also be difficult….
Good question. Possibly manufacturing costs but that’s just a guess. Thanks for watching!
God, love the alloys. What version is that? UK Spec?

在台灣我擁有與這台凌志同款的NX350H旗艦版! 有 良好的操控性及低調丶豪華的特色。
The price has made it unobtainable for a generation of younger people. This is now a boomer vehicle. Who can afford $60,000 for a coupe when you are young?
Good Gasoline consumption
❤🔥 Puyallup, Washington 2024
Unfortunate Hyundai Canada didn't give any vents for rear seat or heated seats even for outside seats in rear. The Australian top spec has vents, heated and ventilated in front and heated in rear plus a 3kW V2L capability with up to 16A. Can it tow? The Australian spec again can up to 750kg braked and about 300kg unbraked, plus comes with a space saver tire.
Nice looking car.
This is the "sweet spot" of cars but most would argue & try to justify their purchase of a car they didn't even need to begin with. 😂 great review 👍
